We Help Perth Residents with Parent Visas
We proudly help Australian citizens, permanent residents and eligible New Zealand citizens to obtain parent visas in Perth. If you and your family wish to apply for a visa to bring your overseas parents to Australia , we can help them achieve it on their very first attempt.
One of the main criteria your parents must meet is the “Balance of Family Test”. To pass this test parents must have at least half of their children living in Australia as citizens or permanent residents at the time of application.
There are many parent visa options available for Perth residents, including contributory parent, non-contributory parent, aged non-contributory and aged contributory visas. These terms may sound straightforward, but applications are often replete with complex language, and this can make it hard to properly understand the “Balance of Family Test” requirements needed to meet the visa eligibility criteria.
Given this, DIY applications can result in non-valid applications being made or refusals, as the complex wording and documentation can be overwhelming and vague to comprehend. The best option? The different types of Perth parent visas you can receive
There are various parent visa options available for you and your family and our highly skilled professionals can help you decide on the right one the first time around:
- Contributory Parent Visa (subclass 143): This visa allows your parents to live in Australia on a permanent basis through applying for permanent residency. Upon visa grant your parents obtain permanent residency allowing them to move to and remain in Australia. Current processing times are in the order of 12-14 years and visa application charges are in the order of $50,000 per parent. We can provide visa options to allow you to enter Australia on alternative visa types ( subject to meeting the required criteria) in order to bridge the long waiting periods.
- Aged Parent Contributory Visa (subclass 864): This visa requires one parent to have reached 67 years of age in order to apply for this visa subclass. This visa requires the applicants to be inside Australia when they make their application. Visa processing times are long and costly ($50,000 per parent) however applicants will be granted a Bridging Visa that allows them to live in Australia whilst their application is being processed.
- Aged Parent Visa (subclass 804): This visa is similar to option 2 above in that it requires one parent to have reached 67 years of age in order to apply for this visa subclass. This visa also requires the applicants to be inside Australia when they make their application. Visa processing times are very long (30+ years) however the visa application charges are significantly lower. Whilst the processing times are long applicants will be granted a Bridging Visa that allows them to live in Australia whilst their application is being processed.
